New Music: Chuzih Dadido Drops First Single
Cameroon’s next big name in Africa’s thriving music industry, Chuzih Dadido has dropped the audio of his highly anticipated single of the year #Awah. The Afro-pop singer, song writer and music director is sure making his break-through with his debut hit “Awah”.
The record label, Muanze group presented the music release pack on Thursday, October 01, 2015.
“We introduce a music act ‘Chuzih Dadido’ in his exciting music track titled ‘AWAH’ ” said the label in a statement.
#Awah is sure a unique high-life sound with catchy and mellow beats that blend the popular Makossa genre with top local Afro-pop rythms in Cameroon to give perfect African dance hall music that leaves African music fans spellbound.
The 25-year-old singer uses a mélange of the local grammatically simplified Pidgin English to send across a message centered on matrimony and inspired by a childhood game (Awah). #Awah is typically African – a party track made for the dance floor.
Chuzih Dadido’s sound is a club jalopy by one of Cameroon’s much loved music label Muanze group mixed and mastered by Believe Records with artistic creation by his own Fantasy Arts Company.
Chuzih is widely known as one of Cameroon’s favourite music directors for his works on music videos. He has called the shots on set with top African artists including co-directing Eddy Kenzo from Uganda in a collabo with Cameroon’s AFRIMMA award winner, Gasha titled #Chill.
In another exciting music video by Mo girls featuring Ivorian MTV awards winner DJ Arafat, Chuzih Dadido displays his talent as music director.
Still as music director, Chuzih has also worked with top Cameroonian Afro-pop artists like Gasha, Magasco, Adah and Daddy Cool Ina de Place amongst others. His great directing of the latter’s official video for this hit song titled #For Dey has given the single a resounding success
He also featured in Daddy Cool Ina de place’s soul probing hit #Searching, adding a melodious touch to the music that keeps listeners singing along.
Chuzih Dadido is an artist from Cameroon’s North West region whose passion for music dates back to childhood. He was lead singer for his primary school choir. He began singing, dancing and mimicking songs by Michael Jackson during social events while he was in Secondary and High School.
He had the opportunity to fully develop his interest in video directing while pursuing undergraduate studies in the Catholic University of Cameroon in Bamenda, where he founded music and dance clubs and served as music director.
Chuzih is owner of an arts work motion pictures label known as Fantasy Arts Company whose work he vividly describes as “bringing your imaginations into reality”.
